Welcome to the Austin College Physician Assistant (PA) program. The PA profession is one of the fastest growing in healthcare and offers a rewarding career with many versatile opportunities. Being a PA embodies service, compassion, excellence, accountability, and dedication. The PA faculty and staff at Austin College approach our responsibilities within the program with the same tenets and we have a passion for educating the future generation of PAs.
Our program will strive to equip students with the knowledge and skills to provide patient-centered care, which entails not only acquiring a strong fund of medical knowledge and clinical skill abilities, but also understanding the impact of injury and illness on the whole person. Medical humanities is interwoven throughout the curriculum to reinforce patients as holistic individuals with unique needs.
